A strong work ethic, the ability to perform under pressure, effective time management skills, problem-solving aptitude, and a collaborative spirit are crucial attributes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the maintenance team across all shifts, ensuring the department is focused on maximizing equipment uptime. Quick response to equipment failures is vital to maintain production line efficiency and meet customer quality and delivery standards.
  • Maintain technical expertise and foster the development of team members to ensure the capability to service an increasingly complex range of equipment. Innovative repair techniques and efficient resource management for prioritizing and completing tasks are essential. All department personnel must communicate effectively and cultivate a positive working relationship with other plant divisions, recognizing their role as a service-oriented team. Recommendations for equipment design and installation improvements are also part of the role.
  • Manage an effective Total Productive Maintenance program throughout the facility to enhance capacity utilization and overall productivity.
  • Oversee the inventory of plant spare parts.
  • Provide training and mentorship to Process Technicians and maintenance staff, ensuring high-quality performance and development in response to process changes.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues as they arise, employing corporate values such as Lean, Six Sigma, fairness, customer focus, and rapid response. Actively engage in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions related to customer feedback.
  • Collaborate with local leadership to plan and implement strategic initiatives that support the long-term sustainability of the organization.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by facilitating proper safety training, conducting regular safety communications and meetings with team members, and adhering to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards. Investigate unsafe conditions and behaviors, taking proactive measures to address issues and implement corrective actions across the facility.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance or engineering within a large automotive manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated knowledge in OEM production and/or aftermarket operations, along with proficiency in local and regional legal standards, including building codes, fire safety, and electrical and mechanical regulations. A strong understanding of automotive glass products and manufacturing processes, customer specifications, and quality systems, including Lean and Six Sigma, is required. Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) standards is essential. Proven supervisory experience and team-building skills are necessary. The successful candidate will exhibit a strong work ethic, the ability to thrive under pressure, effective time management, strong problem-solving skills, and a collaborative approach.
