We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Hitachi Astemo Americas, Inc. This role will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to 5S principles and company safety standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless equipment operation and minimize downtime.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to optimize equipment performance and extend lifespan.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying knowledge to improve maintenance processes and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate's degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience, with a focus on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
- Ability to work at heights, lift up to 50 pounds, and operate forklifts, booms, and scissor lifts.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on collaboration and problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal technical education in electrical/electronics technology, mechanical, or maintenance technology.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with CNC and PLC systems.
- Knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques.
Work Environment
This role will be based in a manufacturing environment with exposure to office and laboratory areas. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
