We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at Vidant Health. As a Patient Access Representative, you will be responsible for creating a positive first impression for our patients and families, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Perform outpatient scheduling and registration for all patients, collecting necessary data and documents to ensure accurate billing.
- Interact with physicians and their offices to secure diagnosis and procedure information.
- Interview patients to obtain scheduling and registration information, and handle incoming calls with judgment and professionalism.
- Collect and enter complete and accurate demographic, financial, and clinical information into the electronic health record.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2 years of customer service experience, with 1-2 years of registration and/or billing experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Excellent communication, detail orientation, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Basic computer skills.
