Job Summary:

As a Mechanical Assembler at Qualigence, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality components by assembling parts and subassemblies. Your attention to detail and ability to read and decipher schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions will be essential in ensuring the accuracy and precision of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Read and decipher schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Position or align components and parts, either manually or with hoists, to facilitate efficient assembly.
  • Use hand tools or machines to assemble parts, ensuring proper fit and finish.
  • Conduct quality control checks to verify specifications and identify areas for improvement.
  • Clean and maintain work area and equipment, including tools, to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Prepare work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies, and verifying specifications.
  • Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications, notifying supervisors to obtain additional resources as needed.
  • Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintain inventory by checking stock to determine supply levels, placing and tracking orders, and verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred.
  • Ability to read and decipher schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Basic math skills and ability to measure and verify specifications.
