Job Summary:

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Mercy Hospital team in the 9M Med Surg Tele/Cardiac Stepdown Unit. As a Cardiac Step-Down Nurse, you will provide exceptional care to patients with higher acuity medical and cardiac conditions, including those requiring telemonitoring or hardwire monitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients with complex medical and cardiac conditions, including those requiring invasive monitoring and life-sustaining therapies.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Participate in a residency core curriculum to enhance your skills and knowledge in cardiac step-down nursing.
  • Document patient care and progress in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
  • Respond to changes in patient condition and take appropriate action to ensure safe and effective care.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing with a current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • New graduate RN or less than one year of RN work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
