Clinical Social Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Social Worker to join our team at Duke University School of Medicine. The successful candidate will provide counseling services to health professionals and students, focusing on behavioral health, substance use disorders, and other sources of impairment.
Key Responsibilities- Meet annually with each incoming HPE student to perform and review a needs assessment.
- Create a list of available resources to promote success for each student.
- Monitor and track progress and uptake of resources for each student.
- Be available to answer questions that may arise from students' advisors and/or leadership in LE WELL.
- Develop and maintain a web-based documentation system.
- Establish a dissemination and implementation plan for distributing standardized assessment measures for all SOM matriculating students and students entering clinical training.
- Facilitate development and consistent implementation of an "impairment policy" in SOM programs.
- Maintain working relationships with university resources and advocate for adequacy to meet health professions students' needs.
- Master's degree from an accredited school of social work.
- Current licensure as a licensed clinical social worker by the NC Social Work and Certification and Licensure Board.
- Three or more years of social work experience in a health care setting or social service agency.
- Two years recent post-master's experience in a clinical setting preferred.
The work of the case manager may be performed remotely. If asked to be physically present on the Duke (Durham, NC) campus, the case manager will be reimbursed up to $1500 per trip, up to two travel expenses per year.
