This role is a strategic and impactful position within Optum Insight, leading a team of compliance professionals focused on operating an effective compliance program in partnership with the broader enterprise compliance program. You'll work closely with the Optum Compliance Officer and the UHC and UHG compliance leadership teams to establish a top-down culture of compliance and ethics.
As a Compliance Leader, you'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. while taking on challenging responsibilities. Your primary duties will include:
- Providing leadership, strategy, and guidance to Optum Insight executive leadership and business teams on compliance and ethics issues.
- Partnering with the business leadership team and the compliance leadership team to establish a culture of compliance and ethics.
- Leading the Optum Insight compliance team in partnership with the enterprise compliance team to ensure an effective compliance program designed to detect, prevent, and correct compliance issues.
You'll be responsible for developing, implementing, and updating policies, procedures, processes, and best practices across Optum Insight to promote compliance with applicable laws and contractual obligations. You'll also develop and implement training, awareness, and educational materials and programs to support compliance, ethics, and privacy agendas.
Additionally, you'll conduct routine monitoring and annual compliance risk assessments, enforce standards through well-publicized disciplinary guidelines, and respond promptly to detected offenses. You'll also identify relevant information to provide analysis and insight for executive leadership and board of directors/audit committee reporting.
This role requires a strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory matters relevant to the health care industry, as well as excellent communication skills and business acumen. You'll be a self-starter with a proven track record of driving results in a heavily matrixed environment, and you'll have strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability in managing and developing others.
