Machinist Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Machinist to join our team at BlackHawk Industrial Operating Co. in Tulsa, OK. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing parts to customer specifications using manual mills, lathes, and grinders. Strong math skills, blueprint reading, and experience setting up machinery are essential requirements for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints to manufacture parts accurately
• Set up Mills & Lathes unassisted and maintain equipment with coolant/oil
• Machine parts while maintaining close tolerances and inspect jobs after final operation
• Clean/inspect machinery and parts, and keep work area clean
• Respond to commonly occurring problems/situations for which standards, procedures or precedents exist
• Perform hands-on tasks, Assembly of machined parts, and ability to make a part from raw material and machine complete

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Up to 2 years of experience in a similar position preferred
• Able to lift 50 lbs and have working knowledge of Machine shop equipment
• Knowledge of cutting tools used for machining, micrometers, Digital Calipers, Vernier, radius gages etc., and ability to read blueprints
