Job Title: Business Systems Analyst III

MedImpact is seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst III to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for analyzing business requirements and developing solutions to meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze business requirements and develop functional specifications
  • Coordinate and respond to requests for changes from original specifications
  • Facilitate design sessions with business and technical resources
  • Consult with technical teams on design and database issues
  • Define and document business rules to assist in the development of software specifications
  • Drive and/or lead projects to completion for assigned projects
  • Develop project plans, prioritize project tasks, and provide regular status updates on project progress
  • Develop business processes that ensure developed application meets all project requirements
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time, accurate to defined specifications and within budget
  • Perform quality control checks on software before it is released to the QA department
  • Provide support to software development and QA staff as needed
  • Handle, prioritize and manage multiple Service Requests (SR's) throughout entire software development life cycle
  • Handle software release management of designated applications
  • Mentor and provide functional work direction to less experienced Business Systems Analysts
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Five (5) to eight (8+) years' related experience (PBM or healthcare industry experience preferred)
  • Computer skills in Visio, Golden 32, Securt CRT Design software and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)
  • Oracle database and On-line transaction processing (OLTP) experience
  • Familiarity with relational databases and client-server concepts
  • Expert-level SQL and knowledge of PL/SQL
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional preferred

Work Environment:

This position requires working on-site at the San Diego Headquarters to provide support to internal clients and facilitate face-to-face interactions. Remote work is not an option for this position.

Travel:

This position may require occasional travel and attendance at local conferences and meetings.
