Job SummaryThe RN Unit Manager will assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of the Nursing Services department. This role requires a strong nursing background, leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and support departments.
Responsibilities- Inform nursing service personnel of new admissions and their expected time of arrival
- Maintain a liaison with patients, families, and support departments to plan for patient needs
- Implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
- Perform proficiently in nursing care, supervisory responsibilities, infection control, patient rights, and safety and sanitation
- Participate in manager on duty on-call rotation
- Valid and active state-issued RN License
- Nursing Degree from an accredited college or University
- 1 year of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related healthcare facility
