About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Financial Analyst to join our team at the State Bar of California. As a key member of our Finance department, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive accounting and financial analysis duties, including general ledger, accounts payable, grants, investments, fixed assets, payroll, fund accounting, audits, and special projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive accounting and financial plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform complex financial analysis and reporting, including budget forecasting and financial projections.
  • Supervise and lead a team of accounting and financial professionals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective financial planning and management.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing financial regulations and laws, and ensure compliance with all relevant standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to accounting or finance.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis and accounting, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, including Oracle Fusion.
