The RoleCognizant seeks a WiFi Lead to join our IoT Practice.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in working with WiFi AP (6E/7) development, Wi-Fi technologies, and industry standards.
The successful candidate will lead the design and development of software architecture, defining the structure and components of complex systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Investigating and validating hardware compliance with protocols and features
- Analyzing RF propagation, interference, and noise
- Leading the design and development of software architecture
- Working with test equipment such as Octoscope, Candela, or Veriwave
- Proficient with version control systems like Git
- Scripting skills in shell languages like python/TCL/Bash
- Familiar with web-based user interfaces and web server technologies
- Evaluating the hardware's performance under various conditions
- Proficient in debugging tools and techniques
- Experience in building DevOps Pipeline, Automation
Qualifications include:
- Active participation in the RDK-B community
- Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and software requirements
- Understanding of wireless technologies primarily wifi and its interfaces
- Familiar with networking protocols, including TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, and VLANs
- Awareness of security best practices
- Understanding wireless technologies, including Wi-Fi, and how to configure wireless interfaces
- Keep current with technological developments aligned to industry evolution
- Present and defends architectural, design and technical choices to internal and external audiences
Cognizant offers a competitive compensation package, including a range of $150K to $170K/Annum, and a comprehensive benefits program.
