BridgePoint Associates is seeking a dedicated Development Officer to join our dynamic team within a statewide social services nonprofit. This role is pivotal in managing the comprehensive fundraising lifecycle for a diverse portfolio of over 100 major and leadership giving donors and prospects. The focus will be on cultivating relationships with donors in Southern California who have the potential to contribute at the $5,000+ level, including significant 5-figure donations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee moves management for a portfolio of 100+ major gift donors and prospects with the capacity to give $5,000 or more.
  • Collaborate with the Development team to establish and achieve fundraising objectives and strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and donors; develop and execute effective solicitation strategies.
  • Conduct research to identify and qualify new prospects capable of making major contributions.
  • Reconnect with previous donors to explore new fundraising opportunities.
  • Provide detailed reporting on donor engagement and fundraising initiatives.
  • Travel as necessary for donor meetings and events.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience in development.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Proven success in securing major gifts of $5,000 or more; experience with multi-year gifts is advantageous.
  • Strong commitment to supporting individuals in California in need of various services.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel for donor interactions and events.
