Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Material Planning Supervisor to join our team at Sparton. As a key member of our Logistics department, you will be responsible for leading a team of Material Planners and ensuring the smooth operation of our material supply chain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Material Planners to achieve departmental goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement effective material planning strategies to meet production demands
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate material delivery
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels to optimize stock levels and reduce waste
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and cost-effective material sourcing
  • Provide training and guidance to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Develop and manage budgets to ensure effective resource allocation
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in material planning or supply chain management, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Proven track record of success in leading teams and driving process improvements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Oracle
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry experience in Aerospace and Defense
  • Experience with material resource planning systems and software
  • ACSM Certification in Planning or CPIM
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels.
