Job Title: Capital Improvement Project Manager

BKF Engineers is seeking a skilled Capital Improvement Project Manager to lead our public works and capital improvement projects. In this critical role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality projects that meet client needs and expectations.

Salary: $145,000 - $165,000 per year, paid biweekly

About the Role:

You will oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring timely completion, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing project teams to achieve project goals and objectives
  • Coordinating with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Developing and implementing effective project management strategies
  • Evaluating project progress, identifying risks, and developing mitigation plans
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • At least 10 years of experience in public works site development, capital improvement projects, and public building site development
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited curriculum or equivalent
  • A Professional Engineer license in California
  • Proven expertise in designing public works and capital improvement projects, including roadways, bridges, water and wastewater systems, utility infrastructure, and public facilities
