Responsibilities

The Automotive Valet Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the Vehicle Logistics Coordinator with the handling and transportation of both new and pre-owned vehicles.

New Vehicle Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate vehicle shipments between the dealership and designated delivery areas as per established schedules.
  • Serve as a backup for the Central Dispatch Logistics Supervisor.
  • Assist in off-site product presentations, vehicle deliveries, lease returns, and trades to the designated prep center.
  • Coordinate with truckers for wholesale car dispositions and off-brand lease returns.
  • Ensure proper staging and display of all vehicles in the showroom.
Pre-Owned Vehicle Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Pre-owned Sales Manager to identify vehicles not being purchased and manage their return to the prep center.
  • Oversee the staging and display of vehicles in the pre-owned showroom.
  • Evaluate the condition of lease returns and report findings to the Pre-owned department.
  • Utilize checklists for G status vehicles and provide necessary documentation to the Pre-owned Service Advisor.
  • Mark all vehicles being transported with the appropriate identifiers.
  • Print and place Carfaxes in the glove compartments of relevant vehicles.
  • Adhere to Key System protocols as per internal guidelines.
  • Apply necessary inspection and warranty stickers, along with operational manuals and window labels.
  • Ensure that all vehicles returned from the prep center are detailed and ready for delivery.
  • Conduct final quality checks and communicate with the Pre-owned Sales Manager regarding vehicle status.
  • Position sold vehicles in the correct delivery zones.
  • Must be able to commute regularly.
Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma (GED) or equivalent work experience.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a dealership environment.
License: Valid Driver's License required.
