Job Description
At Planet Fitness - The Core Group, we are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Group Fitness Instructor to lead our group fitness program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging workout programs that cater to diverse fitness levels and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead group fitness classes, including creating and following a schedule.
  • Consult with members to understand their fitness objectives and provide personalized guidance on equipment usage.
  • Design bi-weekly workout updates featuring a variety of exercises to keep our members engaged and motivated.
  • Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.
  • Assist with front desk activities, including answering phones, checking members into the system, and responding to member inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements
  • A passion for fitness and health.
  • Upbeat and positive attitude.
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and colleagues.
  • Strong listening skills, with the ability to empathize and problem-solve.
  • Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions, using appropriate behavior and language.
  • Current CPR Certification is preferred.
  • Nationally Certified Training Certificate is preferred, to be obtained within 60 days of employment.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Physical Demands
  • Continual standing and walking during shifts.
  • Continual talking in person or on the phone during shifts.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
  • May encounter toxic chemicals during shifts.
