Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Center Telecommunications Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing advanced data center systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Center Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of our data centers, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
  • Hardware Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and repairs on servers, network devices, and storage equipment.
  • Environmental Management: Monitor and manage data center environmental controls, including cooling systems, power distribution, and fire suppression systems.
  • Design and Implementation: Design, configure, and implement telecommunications systems, evaluating and selecting hardware, software, and vendors to meet our organizational needs.
  • Project Management: Lead data center projects, including network expansions, migrations, and upgrades.
  • Incident Management: Respond to and resolve incidents, including hardware failures, connectivity issues, and security breaches.
  • Capacity Planning: Assist in planning for future data center capacity needs, including space, power, and cooling.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of data center configurations, procedures, and incident reports.
  • Security Compliance: Ensure data center operations comply with security standards, including physical security, access controls, and data protection protocols.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior technicians, providing technical support and training to ensure best practices are followed across the team.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data center operations, as a central office field technician or related field.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, Data Center Management certifications) are a plus.
