Job Overview

We are looking for a proficient and knowledgeable Mechanic to enhance our skilled workforce. This position plays a vital role in facilitating our construction projects and ensuring deadlines are achieved.

Compensation:

$55,000 - $75,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:
  • Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on all machinery and vehicles to guarantee they are functioning at peak efficiency.
  • Problem Diagnosis: Detect mechanical issues through comprehensive evaluations and the use of diagnostic equipment.
  • Repair Work: Fix and replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, and welding apparatus as required.
  • Record Keeping: Keep meticulous records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders and safety documentation.
  • Safety Standards: Comply with all safety regulations and ensure that all maintenance and repair tasks meet industry safety criteria.
  • Communication: Clearly communicate with supervisors, colleagues, and clients regarding equipment status and necessary repairs.
  • Team Support: Offer training and assistance to fellow team members on the proper operation and upkeep of equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Strong manual dexterity and effective use of hand tools and equipment for vehicle repairs.
  • Preferred: Associate's degree from a vocational program, technical school, or community college - ASE certification is advantageous.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license is required.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and excellent communication abilities.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a mechanic, ideally in the construction or heavy machinery sector.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanics or a related field is preferred.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems and their components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical Demands: Capability to lift heavy items, stand for extended periods, and work in varying weather conditions.
