Job Title: System Administrator/Engineer

Akumen, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator/Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technical operations team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure.



The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration, with experience in Windows Server, MS SQL Server, and MS Azure. You will be responsible for overseeing the integration, staging, and production installation of system components, as well as troubleshooting any issues that may arise.



Additionally, you will provide technical leadership and input to other teams within the organization, and be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the environment. This includes reviewing backup success/failure, security logs, and other daily tasks.



The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, and at least 3-5 years of experience as a system administrator/engineer supporting Microsoft Windows environments. You will also have experience securing and hardening operating systems and hardware based on Federal Government guidelines.



Preferred qualifications include MCSE/MCITP EA, Security+, and ITIL Foundations certification, as well as experience working with cloud services such as Microsoft Azure and ServiceNow.

Responsibilities:




  • Oversee the integration, staging, and production installation of system components

  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of cloud-hosted environments in Microsoft Azure


Qualifications:

Clearance Requirements:



The successful candidate must have an Active Top-Secret security clearance.
