Dermatology Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team at Optima Dermatology. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dermatology team.
Responsibilities:- Prepare exam rooms for patient use by cleaning and stocking supplies.
- Escort patients to exam rooms and take vital signs as needed.
- Interview patients to assess their needs and record relevant information.
- Assist physicians with patient procedures, such as suture removal and minor surgeries.
- Prepare specimens for analysis and submit lab results to physicians.
- Schedule diagnostic tests and procedures, and track results.
- Facilitate referrals to other physicians and contact insurance professionals for pre-certification.
- Perform inventory management and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure confidentiality and safety of patients, employees, and physicians.
- Demonstrated ability in taking patient vitals, injection procedures, and charting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and maintain confidentiality.
- Knowledge of dermatology procedures and protocols.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a medical office setting.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) preferred.
