Dermatology Medical Assistant

Optima Dermatology is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in Bloomington, IN. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dermatology team.
Responsibilities:- Prepare exam rooms for patient use by cleaning and stocking supplies.
- Escort patients to exam rooms and take vital signs as needed.
- Interview patients to assess their needs and record relevant information.
- Prepare procedure trays and assist with minor surgeries.
- Submit lab results to physicians and schedule diagnostic tests.
- Facilitate referrals to other physicians and communicate with patients regarding test results.
- Perform administrative tasks, including taking inventory and ordering supplies.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a medical office setting, preferably in dermatology.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
