Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Cart Nurse

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) Cart Nurse to join our team at Delmar Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Advice and Support: Offer guidance and support to residents and their families, addressing their concerns and needs in a compassionate and empathetic manner.
  • Monitor and Administer Care: Continuously monitor residents' health and administer medication and treatments as prescribed by our medical team.
  • Document Resident Care: Accurately document resident care services in their records, ensuring that all necessary information is recorded and up-to-date.
  • Infection Control: Adhere to our infection-control policies and protocols to protect residents and staff from the risk of infection.
  • Problem-Solving: Utilize our multidisciplinary team strategies to resolve resident problems and needs in a timely and effective manner.
  • Quality of Care: Ensure that our residents receive the highest quality of care by adhering to our facility's philosophies and standards of care.
  • Supervision: Supervise and mentor Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure that they are providing the best possible care to our residents.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain resident confidentiality at all times, respecting their trust and dignity.

Requirements:

  • Teamwork: Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with colleagues to achieve our goals.
  • Valid RN License: Possess a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, ensuring that you are qualified to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Computer Skills: Possess strong computer skills, including proficiency in electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Long-Term Care Experience: Possess experience in long-term care, with a strong understanding of the unique needs and challenges of this setting.
  • Team Player: Demonstrate a friendly and team-oriented approach, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve our goals.
