Job Summary

CAPITAL AREA HEALTH NETWORK seeks a skilled Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality patient care in a community health center setting.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide education and support to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal health outcomes.
  • Prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results to inform patient care decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, best practices, and regulatory requirements to provide evidence-based care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote excellent patient care.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in nursing with advanced skills in physical assessment.
  • Current licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Virginia.
  • Current DEA registration.
  • ANA Certification prior to or within one year of employment.
