Fusion Medical Staffing-Laboratory is seeking a skilled Histology Technician to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a vital role in the diagnosis process by preparing tissue samples for examination under the microscope.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare tissue samples for examination by grossing/dissecting biopsy specimens, embedding tissue in paraffin wax, and performing microtomy and staining techniques.
- Maintain basic instrument calibration, monitor reagents, and perform quality control to ensure accurate test results.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and problem resolution to ensure efficient laboratory operations.
- Coordinate and prioritize workflow to ensure timely testing and delivery of results.
- Interact daily with pathologists, residents, and laboratory staff to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Associate degree in laboratory or medical laboratory technology (education verification required)
- One year of previous laboratory experience required
- Prior traveler experience highly preferred
- NA certification not required
- 2 completed references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only for work performed in the last two years)
