Key Responsibilities
  • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
  • Mix water and detergents or other chemicals in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
  • Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
  • Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
  • Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of related experience. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies.
