We are expanding our team and seeking a Solar Analyst to contribute to our mission of advancing sustainable energy solutions. In this role, you will be instrumental in evaluating technical options, managing a variety of renewable energy initiatives, and analyzing market dynamics to inform strategic choices.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the identification and development of Solar PV projects nationwide.
- Prepare comprehensive internal and external documentation and presentations.
- Engage in financial modeling by assessing project viability, costs, and potential returns; generate financial reports and analyses to guide commercial and operational strategies; and analyze data to identify and evaluate new development prospects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, legal, and finance, to ensure project milestones are met.
- Maintain organized project databases and uphold compliance with industry standards.
- Support the Managing Director of Solar Development in managing project timelines and budgets.
- Act as a representative of the company within the development team, engaging with stakeholders such as investors, engineers, contractors, consultants, landowners, and regulatory authorities.
- Familiarize yourself with all project documentation, regulatory requirements, and monitor project progress accordingly.
- Adhere to all document control protocols, with a focus on critical control documents.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or finance management is required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, along with exceptional analytical and research capabilities, is essential.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in solar development or finance is preferred.
- Knowledge of real estate, entitlement, and permitting processes is advantageous.
- Experience with various national Independent System Operators (ISOs) is beneficial.
- Advanced financial modeling skills and familiarity with diverse software tools are required.
- Creative problem-solving abilities to enhance operational efficiency are essential.
