Position Overview
  • This role will cover Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to NH or MA.
  • Compensation: $80k + 15% Bonus
The Franchise Business Consultant is tasked with enhancing franchisee performance within their designated portfolio. This role involves providing guidance and mentorship to franchise owners, discussing business conditions, and recommending strategies to boost overall results while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and brand standards. Key focus areas include sales, profitability, operations, product offerings, and store development/acquisitions. The consultant must collaborate effectively with various support teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Franchisee relationship, meet EBITDA goals, and lead initiatives for success.
  • Achieve objectives related to new store openings, sales growth, and profitability by executing tailored business plans.
  • Collaborate with Franchisees to create actionable plans utilizing insights, data, and experience to meet short and long-term goals.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Development, Supply Chain, Training, Finance, and Operations Support, to implement business strategies.
  • Communicate complex messages effectively to franchisees.
  • Optimize field time for efficiency and utilize necessary tools for effective Franchisee visits.
Execution & Standards:
  • Ensure consistent application of standards and franchise agreements to maintain food safety, menu compliance, and brand integrity.
  • Address initial variance requests from franchisees and escalate when necessary.
  • Communicate national promotions and their significance to engage the franchise network.
  • Oversee the SFA, including updates on standards and follow-up on compliance issues.
Business Insights:
  • Understand industry trends and economic factors affecting profitability, providing recommendations to address challenges.
  • Conduct regular SWOT analyses to identify portfolio needs and collaborate with COEs to develop improvement plans.
  • Act as a knowledgeable resource on Domino's operations and facilitate peer connections among franchisees.
  • Adhere to legal guidelines when offering insights and recommendations.
Portfolio Management:
  • Serve as a local consultant by delivering sales analyses to evaluate market health and identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Development COE Team to pinpoint growth prospects and support new store openings.
  • Facilitate regional business planning meetings tailored to franchisee needs.
  • Work with the marketing COE to suggest local marketing strategies and enhance franchisee engagement.
Franchise Relations:
  • Partner with colleagues to create business cases and share best practices across the system.
  • Promote continuous team development and individual growth.
  • Act as the primary contact for franchisee business and brand inquiries, assisting in identifying and placing candidates for franchise management training.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-unit operations or consulting, preferably in QSR or franchise settings.
  • Experience in a multi-unit environment with knowledge of retail or restaurant operations and financial reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking.
  • Ability to analyze financial statements and demonstrate strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and influencing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including some overnight trips.
