We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Nurse to join our team at FlexStaff. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
Responsibilities:- Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physiologic and psychosocial health status, and develop individualized care plans to address their unique needs.
- Medication Administration: Safely and accurately administer medications, including IV drips and IVP medications, as per department policy and procedure.
- Patient Education: Provide patients and their families with clear explanations of their conditions, treatment options, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with other healthcare team members, including physicians, nurses, and support staff, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
- Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with an Associate's Degree in Nursing, required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the emergency department or a related specialty.
- Licensure: Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State, required.
- Certifications: BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC/SANE Certified, plus specialized certifications as needed.
