Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at FlexStaff. As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Planning
    • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physiologic and psychosocial health status
    • Develop individualized plans of care to meet patients' needs
  • Implementation and Evaluation
    • Implement care plans and coordinate with other healthcare team members
    • Evaluate patient outcomes and make adjustments to care plans as needed
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
    • Communicate effectively with patients and families to ensure understanding and satisfaction
  • Medication Administration and Education
    • Administer medications safely and effectively
    • Provide education to patients and families on medication management and other health-related topics
  • Decubitus Care and Skin Integrity
    • Perform preventive skin care measures to prevent decubitus ulcers
    • Apply dressings and other wound care treatments as needed
  • Leadership and Professional Development
    • Participate in leadership and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
    • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State
  • Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty
  • BLS required, plus specialized certifications as needed
