This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires a high level of customer service and sales skills to maintain high occupancy at our apartment property. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to residents and potential residents, while utilizing professional sales and marketing techniques to drive lease-ups and meet sales goals.
Key Responsibilities- Meet and greet prospective residents in a timely and friendly manner, qualifying them for apartments and coordinating with maintenance staff to ensure smooth move-ins.
- Maintain thorough and up-to-date rental files, accurately entering rental data into the computer and preparing leases for signing by new residents.
- Assist in completion of monthly administrative tasks, ensuring property paperwork is organized and complete, including posting rent checks, sending late notices, and processing lease renewals.
- Interact with residents in a professional manner to resolve maintenance issues, handle complaints, and ensure timely payment of rents.
- Proven ability to set and achieve lease-up sales goals, with a strong drive to succeed in a sales-goal and commission-based environment.
- Minimum of 2+ years of property management experience and/or customer service in a related field.
- Desired lease-up experience, with a strong understanding of sales and marketing techniques.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Yardi, Rent Cafe, and On-Site credit software.
- Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving ability, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Solid business logic and ability to analyze and prioritize tasks assigned.
- Bachelor or Associates Degree.
- Prior experience in residential or retail sales.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 10 pounds. Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and open doors.
- Must be able to communicate (orally and written) in a professional manner on a regular basis with prospective residents, current residents, staff, management, and co-workers within the company as well as with outside vendors.
- Is consistently at work and on time. Regularly required to work weekends.
