Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Ascension St. Vincent in Indiana. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider.
  • Perform select clinical duties, including interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and recording information on patient charts.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients and maintain a clean and orderly environment.
  • Document the provider's encounter with patients, including diagnoses, symptoms, and follow-up instructions.
  • Transcribe patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
  • One or more of the following certifications: Medical Assistant specializing in Registered, Certified Medical Assistant.
  • High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
