Petco Gibsonia Veterinary Care Specialist

At Petco Gibsonia, we're committed to providing exceptional care for pets and their owners. As a Veterinary Care Specialist, you'll play a critical role in delivering high-quality medical services and ensuring the well-being of our furry friends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent patient care through physical examinations, diagnoses, and treatments
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients undergoing day hospitalization
  • Perform routine and complex surgical procedures, including spays, neuters, and mass removals
  • Communicate effectively with clients and referral hospitals to ensure continuity of patient care
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
  • Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state of North Carolina
  • Current DEA license and Controlled Substance License, if applicable
  • USDA Category I Accreditation or completion within two months of hire date
