Veterinarian - Petco Gibsonia

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team at Petco Gibsonia. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with our medical team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients, and contributing to the growth and success of our practice.

• Provide excellent patient care through physical examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases, as well as preventive care.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for patients undergoing day hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care and effective communication with referral hospitals.
• Perform routine and complex surgical procedures, including spays, neuters, mass removals, and dentals.
• Document patient observations, findings, treatments, and diagnoses in a concise and detailed manner, adhering to practice conventions.
• Participate in rounds, disseminate knowledge to team members, and perform additional duties as assigned.

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
• Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state of practice or ability to obtain by start date.
• Current DEA license and Controlled Substance License, if applicable.
• USDA Category I Accreditation or completion within two months of hire date.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor in emotional and stressful situations.
