About the Job:
- Perform installations and patching of Linux operating systems.
- Work with existing teams to get diodes stood and operational.
- Assist and lead the deployment and administration of CDS as part of the RTB initiative.
- Install software and troubleshoot software install issues.
- Monitor systems and perform hardware troubleshooting, tracking, resolution, and routine maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Linux administration duties, including system installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Work with the IA Team to manage accounts and system vulnerabilities.
- Provide data recovery services by performing system backups.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 8 years of IT experience, with 3 years focused on Python scripting.
- Active DOE Q Government Clearance; US Citizenship required for clearance.
- Reside in Los Alamos, NM, as this position is onsite only.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience with Linux (RedHat or Ubuntu) and capability for OS installation, network configuration, and package/patch management.
- Experience working with one-way diodes and knowledge/experience with Cross Domain Strategy.
Estimated Salary: $125,000 - $155,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
