Industrial Coating Specialist

Salary: $23-$28

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Industrial Coating Specialist will employ various paint application methods and tools to expertly finish both interior and exterior surfaces.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10 PM - 6 AM

**Training Requirement:** Must be available for training on 1st or 2nd shift for 2-4 weeks**

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assess the area to be coated; calculate the necessary quantity and type of paint for the task.
• Select and procure suitable paint colors and finishes, mixing as required.
• Prepare surfaces for painting, which may involve removing existing finishes using chemicals, grit blasting, or other techniques.
• Mask, remove, cover, or otherwise safeguard hardware, trim, and other non-painted areas.
• Apply coatings to interior and exterior surfaces utilizing brushes, rollers, sprayers, airbrushes, stencils, and other tools.
• Execute basic stencil and line work.
• Adhere to chemical and waste storage and disposal regulations and best practices.
• Construct scaffolding in compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain a tidy work environment.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma is mandatory.
• Completion of a formal apprenticeship program, prior experience, or on-the-job training is essential.
• Experience with Epoxy and Polyurethane is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Extended periods of standing and painting are necessary.
• Must possess adequate balance and the ability to ascend ladders and scaffolding.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at a time is required.
• Must be capable of distinguishing between colors.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While carrying out the responsibilities of this position, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical components, and vibrations. The employee may occasionally encounter a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be elevated.
