Job Description:

In this challenging and rewarding role, you will be responsible for managing a team of nurses on the 5th floor of the SRMC Inpatient department. As a Nursing Manager, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality patient care while ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for our patients.

You will work closely with physicians, staff, and other departments to promote communication, problem-solving, decision-making, crisis intervention, resource utilization, and conflict management. Your leadership skills will play a crucial role in developing an efficient organizational structure, encouraging teamwork, and implementing growth initiatives within your team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of nurses on the 5th floor of the SRMC Inpatient department
  • Oversight of patient care delivery while ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment
  • Collaborate with physicians, staff, and other departments to enhance communication and problem-solving skills
  • Develop and implement efficient organizational structures to improve teamwork and growth initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures
  • Participate in strategic initiatives such as quality improvement and monitoring, TJC compliance, Magnet Recognition, recruitment and retention of staff, and patient satisfaction

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field (essential)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in nursing management or supervisory roles (essential)
  • RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement by NM (essential)
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Pro or Prof Rescuers certification (within 30 days)
  • Knowledge of chemical and bio-hazardous materials (optional)

Estimated Salary: $95,000-$120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. This estimate includes a base salary range based on industry standards and location.
