Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Outpatient Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a Therapist for Children and Adults, you will be responsible for evaluating mental health diagnoses, creating and implementing treatment plans, and providing excellent customer service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate mental health diagnoses and create treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each client
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to children and adults
- Collaborate with a dynamic team to further the mission of filling gaps in our community
- Utilize creativity in interventions to help clients achieve and exceed their goals
- Prepare and submit documentation for each session, including treatment plans and case notes
- Coordinate services with case managers, families, and other healthcare professionals as needed
- Attend and participate in all clinical staff meetings and trainings
- Master's or Doctoral degree in a mental health field (LCSW, LMFT, LCPC, etc.)
- Valid state of Illinois license
- Experience working with children and adults in a mental health setting
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate and model stable, appropriate boundaries with clients
- Ability to complete and submit documentation of services and other documents in a timely manner
- Comfort and familiarity working with a diverse client base
- Proficient in the use of Office 365 and Electronic Health Record systems
- Experience with children/adolescents
- Experience with couples and families
- General knowledge of therapy services, community resources, insurance billing, and mental health documentation
- Credentialed with insurance panels
