Responsibilities:
What You'll Do


The role of the Assistant Store Manager encompasses various duties, including overseeing inventory, leading associates, and engaging with customers.

Your capacity to make strategic choices, develop a high-performing team, and ensure operational excellence will be essential to our store's success.

Foster a positive and inclusive workplace that encourages teamwork, professionalism, and ongoing improvement.

Manage inventory, stock replenishment, and product displays to enhance sales and customer satisfaction.

Make significant decisions regarding hiring, coaching, performance management, and terminations for your team members.

Conduct thorough performance evaluations for your direct reports, identifying areas for growth and recognition.

Set clear expectations for team members and hold them accountable for their responsibilities, nurturing a culture of accountability.

Promote exceptional customer service by interacting with customers, addressing their inquiries, resolving issues, and enhancing their shopping experience.


Train and mentor associates on customer engagement strategies, contributing to a high-performing team that consistently delivers outstanding customer experiences.

Address any negative customer interactions by diffusing situations and empowering your team to resolve issues effectively.

Regularly communicate with the Store Manager regarding departmental performance, associate development, operational efficiencies, and customer feedback.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards in store operations.

Ensure that all operational procedures align with company policies, standards, and legal requirements.

Support company initiatives, such as customer engagement models and loyalty programs.

Supervise proper procedures for handling firearms in all transactions when required.


May be required to conduct regular audits to assess compliance in areas such as sales transactions, cash handling, inventory management, and security protocols.

May be required to analyze shrinkage data, identify trends, and implement measures to minimize loss and enhance operational efficiency.


Exhibit autonomy, independent judgment, and discretion in leading the team to achieve or exceed store goals and strategies.

Ability to work a 50-hour workweek (10-hour shifts, 5 days per week) with varied hours, days, nights, and weekends as business needs dictate.

Must meet federal requirements to qualify for a Federal Firearms License (FFL) and any applicable local requirements.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.

Ability to operate machinery such as a forklift, pallet jack, handheld inventory device, and other retail equipment.

Ability to lift, push, and/or pull a minimum of 30 pounds repetitively and 31-50 pounds intermittently.

Able to navigate and access all facilities.
