Job Summary:

Meta is seeking a talented attorney to join our Employment Law and Investigations Team as a Counsel/Lead Counsel. This role will involve providing legal advice and counsel on various employment law-related issues related to Meta's contingent workers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and counsel on contingent workforce-related matters from an employment law perspective.
  • Partner with the Contingent Workforce team and Contingent Workforce Business Partners to advise, educate, and influence on a wide range of Contingent Workforce issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure consistency and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Review, draft, and revise contractual clauses in statements of work and service agreements.
  • Monitor legislation, regulations, case law, and government enforcement activities relating to employment law.
  • Support audits, process reviews, and new policy creation and implementation related to the Contingent Workforce Program.
  • Facilitate process improvements and create efficiencies.

Requirements:

  • J.D. degree and membership in at least one state bar.
  • 3+ years of experience in labor and employment law.
  • Experience providing legal advice and counsel on US and international contingent worker issues.
  • Pre-litigation/litigation experience, including handling demand letters and administrative agency charges.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience advising on international employment issues and supporting clients outside the United States.
  • Prior in-house legal department experience.
  • Experience coordinating and driving to completion large-scale projects.

Compensation:

$167,000/year to $233,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits.
