Position: Athletic Performance Coach

Employment Type: Part-Time - 20 Hours/Week

Schedule: Flexible, Including Evenings and Weekends

Location: Onsite

Overview:

The Athletic Performance Coach is responsible for leading strength and conditioning programs tailored for athletes. This role involves creating customized workout plans, monitoring athlete performance, and making necessary adjustments to training regimens. The coach will work closely with head coaches to develop comprehensive training strategies that emphasize strength, conditioning, and overall fitness. Additionally, the coach will provide documentation, support to students and staff, and engage in ongoing professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate athlete capabilities and areas for improvement through systematic observations and record-keeping.
  • Maintain detailed records of athlete progress to measure the success of training initiatives.
  • Design and implement initial assessments for individual athletes.
  • Collaborate effectively with coaches and healthcare professionals.
  • Inform athletes and their families about training protocols.
  • Engage in educational activities and supervision of students.
  • Conduct workshops, seminars, and training sessions as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in various organizational settings, particularly in healthcare, is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or equivalent software.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or a related discipline.
  • Certification as a Personal Trainer or CSCS from accredited organizations.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification is mandatory.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • No prior supervisory experience is necessary.

This position is Part-Time and requires onsite presence with a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends.
