Tutor and Learning Facilitator

We are seeking a dedicated Tutor and Learning Facilitator to join our team at Wharton County Junior College. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the academic success of our students.

The Tutor and Learning Facilitator will work closely with the Learning Center staff to provide a supportive and inclusive educational environment for students. Responsibilities include providing individualized tutoring, assisting with study skills and time management, and facilitating learning activities in the computer lab.

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• CURRENT ENROLLMENT (or continued enrollment) at WCJC is mandatory.
• Completion of a college English or Algebra course with a letter grade no lower than a B is necessary.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to relate to students from diverse backgrounds. Technical skills including experience with online Learning Management Systems like Brightspace and proficiency in Microsoft Office are also essential.
