Key Responsibilities:

The Product Development Specialist will undertake the following tasks:

  • Assist in the formulation of cutting-edge products that align with the expectations of the organization, clientele, and regulatory entities.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for the weighing and mixing of experimental studies as instructed by the Master Formulator or R&D Manager.
  • Maintain a detailed record of all formula modifications.
  • Participate in the sensory and organoleptic assessment of R&D lab studies and, if necessary, daily batch evaluations.
  • Collaborate with the R&D Manager and the Product Development and Process Manager to ensure that product development and technical transfers are executed within the established project timelines.
  • Supervise the transition of new innovative products into production, providing constructive feedback to the R&D Manager and Product Development and Process Manager.
  • Encourage a collaborative atmosphere and teamwork to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Utilize the Genesis program to formulate Nutrition Facts and Supplement Facts panels.
  • Manage and organize laboratory samples and supplies efficiently.
  • Offer insights and recommendations on ingredients that enhance flavor and nutritional value in various dietary supplement products.
  • Conduct shelf-life evaluations.

Qualifications:

(Competencies, Minimum Education Requirements, Training or Experience)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related disciplines is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and communication skills; bilingual in Spanish is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Results-driven approach.
  • Self-motivated and organized individual.
