Role Overview:
The Senior Patient Access Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the admission processes for all patients receiving services at the healthcare facility. This position requires a commitment to uphold the organization's mission and objectives while ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the patient admission process, ensuring accurate assignment of Medical Record Numbers (MRNs) and completion of medical necessity checks.
2. Provide exceptional customer service while collecting insurance information and processing physician orders.
3. Manage inbound and outbound communication to gather necessary patient demographics and financial information.
4. Ensure adherence to policies and procedures while conducting audits of patient accounts to maintain accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in Patient Access, Registration, or a medical office setting.
- Certification in Revenue Cycle Management (CRCR) is required within six months of hire (company-sponsored).

Preferred Skills:
- Strong understanding of the revenue cycle, including admissions, billing, and payment processes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of patient insurance protocols for authorizations and benefits verification.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and coding systems.
