Job Summary

Soliant is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team in a school district. As an SLPA, you will work under the direct supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluation and Treatment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders, and develop treatment plans to address these issues.
  • Collaboration with SLP: Work closely with a Speech-Language Pathologist to create intervention and treatment plans for students, and provide support and guidance as needed.
  • Screenings and Assessments: Conduct screenings to identify voice or speech disorders, and administer assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans.
  • Education and Training: Educate students, families, and staff about speech disorders, including causes related to disabilities or traumatic events.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of students' conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 1+ years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant is required.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology or equivalent is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SLPA Experience: Prior experience as an SLPA in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
