Job Title: Correctional Health Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Interim HealthCare Eastern Dakotas. As a Correctional Health Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to inmates at the County Jail in Pierre, South Dakota.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care as assigned and in accordance with patient's personalized care plan
  • Prepare and administer medications according to healthcare provider instructions and within the scope of the facility
  • Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and interact with inmates and fellow staff members in a courteous and professional way
  • Promote a safe environment during care
  • Provide reliable care by being punctual and consistently covering shifts

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and has a current license as a RN for the state of South Dakota
  • Current CPR certification
  • Must have a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
  • Background Check
  • Must be able to lift, turn, position, and transfer up to 50lbs of weight
