Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Team Member to join our team at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our internal and external spaces.

Responsibilities
  • Event Support: Assist in setting up and striking rooms with equipment, including tables, chairs, staging, and other event-related items.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all internal and external spaces, including floors, restrooms, and other areas.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on department equipment, including cleaning and lubricating machinery.
  • Supervision: Supervise temporary staff as needed and assign tasks to ensure efficient completion of duties.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients, including responding to requests and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, including participating in preventative maintenance projects to maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of the facility.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in janitorial maintenance or a related field.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and working knowledge of cleaning equipment.
  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, customer service focus, and ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
