This role involves executing standard clinical and administrative tasks to support the designated department or office.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Review patient records to confirm that imaging is accessible and all relevant details are available to optimize appointments.
2. Assess and document Social Determinants of Health. Offer education and resources as necessary.
3. Engage with patients in the practice to ensure that an Excellent Patient Experience is achieved.
4. Under the guidance of a physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, or nurse, assist in conducting patient evaluations and treatments.
5. Accurately gather and record patient vital signs, height, weight, and take a brief medical history regarding current ailments or injuries, medications, allergies, required screenings, and other relevant information as appropriate.
7. Follow up on reported concerns and assist with service recovery efforts.
8. Maintain medical equipment and supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning/disinfection per established protocols, and troubleshooting. Ensure examination areas are kept in order.
9. Manage and facilitate all in-basket messages and patient communications.
10. Monitor and relay changes in patient conditions. Document care provided. Offer discharge instructions and follow up with patients as needed. Recognize and seek assistance in emergency situations.
11. Perform administrative or clerical tasks as assigned, including scanning, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
12. Conduct basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection, including phlebotomy, splint application, and procedural tray/room preparation.
