**Job Summary**

HCA Florida Palm Beach Surgical Specialists is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high-quality, efficient care.

**Responsibilities**

  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs.
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms with the necessary instruments for patients, including preparation and maintenance of supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.
  • Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
  • Assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.
  • Answer telephone calls to the practice and screen for referrals.

**Requirements**

  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program or twelve months of direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Current Medical Assistant certification is highly preferred.
  • Active and unrevoked RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA certification/ABR-OE credentials is highly preferred.
