As a Business Insights Intern, you will play a critical role in providing support to the Sales & Marketing teams by performing ad-hoc analysis, distributing standard reporting, maintaining and updating existing reports and data sources, and collecting, analyzing, and communicating a wide range of industry, competitive, and other marketing information.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support to the Sales & Marketing teams by performing ad-hoc analysis and distributing standard reporting.
- Maintain and update existing reports and data sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Collect, analyze, and communicate a wide range of industry, competitive, and other marketing information to inform business decisions.
- Assist with both ad-hoc and monthly analytics to provide timely and actionable insights.
- Develop analyses, scorecards, and key performance indicators to measure business performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Support strategic projects to identify and implement initiatives for growing sales and profitability, including contractor engagement and product analysis, sales and marketing programs, and external partnerships.
- Conduct in-depth evaluations of marketing loyalty programs to derive insights and propose recommendations based on findings.
- Analyze and report on the effectiveness of product results and marketing programs.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop standard reports, key performance indicators, and overall approaches on how to measure and report the business.
- Continually analyze business performance to identify data insights that lead to delivering business outcomes.
- Synthesize data, market information, and competitive intelligence to provide actionable insights and business trend information.
- Organize and extract insights from secondary data sources related to paint and home improvement.
- Responsible for industry/market insights trends to help with BM sales planning/forecasting process.
- Work closely with Product Marketing team to integrate usability studies and research into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction and ensure customer-driven design.
- Update and distribute reports on a weekly basis, consolidate reports, ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Support and automate recurring reports to increase department and organizational efficiency.
- Manage various internal ad-hoc requests and projects to assist and support Sales Management, Marketing, and peers with on-demand analytics.
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong Excel/PowerPoint skills; proficiency with Business Objects and other mining tools; data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik Sense).
- Ability to communicate openly and honestly with colleagues and customers. Takes personal responsibility for the quality and content of the work, and complies with information confidentiality requirements where applicable.
- Ability to work in a rapidly evolving environment and quickly grasp new concepts by demonstrating and applying knowledge of these tasks timely and accurately.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships by collaborating with customers by fully understanding and meeting their expectations.
